Spatial-Temporal Pattern of Agricultural Total Factor Productivity Change (Tfpch) in China and Its Implications for Agricultural Sustainable Development

With increasing tension between humans and land, arising pressure on food security in China, the improvement of total factor productivity is important to realize agricultural modernization promote rural revitalization strategy. In this study, we applied DEA-Malmquist index method measure growth China’s its decomposition indexes at prefecture-level city scale from 2011 2020. We found average annual rate was 4.5% during period, with technical change being driving efficiency suppressing factor. There an initial decrease then increase Dagum Gini coefficient. The cold hot spot areas Tfpch were clearly formed. During decade, gravity center has migrated northeast southwest general. Based characteristics Tfpch, China classified into four zones. future, Chinese government should balance market mechanism, improve science technology innovation system adoption promotion system, implement policies agriculture production efficiency.
